I think they just make up something so people dont think they are stupid.

Interesting thing i spotted this morning...

Was driving past Mt Gambier Airport and noticed what looked to be a Water Bomber!

Now whether its down here on contract spraying or here as a water bomber im not sure.  I would presume the first one.

Seriously Rob im in Kalangadoo once a week...the grass there is so green you could paint your house with it!

Same for Mount Gambier  we havent had a lot of rain but its been at the right times and enough to keep the pastures pretty lush.

The saying here is if we have decent rain in september it is green to christmas.

Country Fire Service / CFS Calander
« on: August 13, 2006, 02:07:17 PM »
Gday,

Wouldnt it be great to have a 12 month calander with a different cfs picture on each month?

Maybe it could be run by the media department and thru the volunteer mag.

People submit there photos and then 12 are selected and printed.  Could be preordered so no wastage would occur.

what do people think?

Also what ever happened to those big wall calanders the CFS used to produce?

why do you want photos of rear ends?

Cos they turn me on!

Nah they have the same body as our 24 and obviously have had the same problem with sidelines and proteks.  Attatched is a photo to show what i am talking about.

Was hoping to get a closer look and see how they are attatched.

PPV Fan...hmmm

what is everyones thoughts on the use of these?

Not knowing the full story behind them i would be resistant to comment but just in a quick thought wouldnt feeding the fire more oxygen be a bad thing?

« on: August 11, 2006, 05:20:34 PM »
Anyway, do people think the CFS should re-stripe the entire fleet to the red/yellow checker so we dont look like a half-assed fire service?

Personally myself...there is a whole lot more important things to spend money on then restriping the entire fleet just so we look the same.

Unless the government is gonna give us a huge grant i doubt there will be any excess in the capital works budget for a long time to come.
