Help
« on: August 03, 2007, 02:14:18 PM »
This is going to sound a bit strange, but i wonder if anyone here knows the tune that goes something like

Dah, dah, dah-dahhhhhhhh, boom, boom, boom, boom (think big drums)

They play it at the opening ceromony for the Olympics and stuff for a build up.

Thanks.

I know one of the pieces they used in a few olypics at the beginning of the opening ceremony was Fanfare for the Common Man, done by many but I know the one done by Emerson Lake and Palmer, can't find my copy to verify.

Possibly "Chariots of fire" (that's what they usually play at at things like the Olympics), but by the boom, boom, boom part, perhaps you're looking for the intro to "Also sprach Zarathustra" by Richard Strauss.  (2001: a space Odyssey theme).

Also try "Fanfare for the Common Man"
