After ~17 years on the cards, the Curramulka station is demolished and is going to be replaced with a new, modern station that features a separate Communications/Meeting room.

Progress so far...

Yep! They are glad is finally started. For the last few financial years, it was on the cards, but was deferred time and time again due to other essential things needing higher attention.

Definately a priority!!.....Spencer Group base at Crystal Brook was about to have work started on new kitchen/toilets but they came to look at the station and because it is a level 3 IMT station they said dont start the kitchen thsi needs a complete refit..ie radio room and what not. So look out for some major work at Crystal Brook some time in future.

A couple more recent ones...
8th March

The colour of the shed was meant to be the maroon/cream colour scheme to fit in with the town better but the iron was apparently ordered before that was agreed on...

Sooo..where's compton's admin/etc room theyre still waiting on,  the specs of the appliance bay look the same.

Compton are still waiting and waiting, from what was said at our last group meeting the two new stations for our group to be built in 2009/2010 will just be a long shed but no meeting or training room CFS dont have the money.....Sad as the brigade's where looking forward at long last at having a station where they can hold their meetings and start doing training......

Not yet. Word has been given that Telstra should have the phone lines connected on the 14th December (no year has been given grin), so they should be able to move in after that.
