We are all really happy with this appliance.
I will attempt to post some pics in the next few days (if i can figure out how).  I am really looking forward to working off it.
if anybody want to look at the spec list for it, go to http://www.semfirerescue.com.au/vehicle_details.php?vehicle_id=2105, you can view the spec-sheet and the NSW version.(looks good in red!!!)

Country Fire Service / Re: Equipment Issue (Personal)

We get the standard PPE, and had hats and t-shirts issued last year.

We also  get bottled water on the appliance, refillable bladders for training.

Protective eyewear is something that i think all members should have with their standard gear. As far as first aid kits and such, i think this is best left for the individual to get what they feel they should be carrying, and put it into their own kit.
i think that kit-bags are a bit over the top, as lots of people out there dont have a real use for them.

I Think We Should Put Together A Form For Any Member That Leaves The CFS To Find Out Why They Are Leaving.  If Would Be Good To Get Some Feed Back.

I have heard that CFS is already conducting "exit interviews", in an attempt to find out what can be done in assisting retention of members. I dont know if this is actually happening, or in the pipeline, or just another story, but i reckon it is an excellent idea.

i use a uniden UBC780XLT, and it works like a charm.
reception is excellent, reasonably easy to program.
there is one on ebay ATM:

Not the cheapest, but if you are keen enough they are worth having.

If this is the case, can i do the 1 module from BFF1 at any time, or do i need to wait until there is a course being run nearby?
i have heard that people who have the old level 1 will need to do different BFF modules for differrent courses, like rescue and now BA.
