meadows no longer carries the stokes litter on board a truck because there is not the room. they used to carry it on their stand alone rescue appliance but not any more because they have a 24P

i believe that Heysen group has a BA trailer that is often used by strath group to fill cylinders during jobs an no it doesn't go to the job it is taken to strath base and run there.

i think you will find that the reason that it cost more to build emergency service stations that sheds for farmers is because we have to comply to the Australian building code IE handicapped toilets and all the other stuff because it is a public building etc as for old stations if they do minor works to those that didnt comply they then have to outlay money for those changes even that some are not necessary

our brigade recently did an rcr refresher and have been told the pacific now make a helmet called a BR9 witch is a rural helmet with an impact rated visor so most of the people in our brigade that dont have ba are getting these helmets now.

police do section 23 but any medical practitioner can over rule that decision. but if a doctor detains the patient under section 41 they are then refered to the phsycologist

Not so much the alert, but once she volunteered her location, and the fact that she had sufficient supplies, the sector commander was still ordered to remove her & her appliance from the fireground to the staging area, report to the staging area manager and then the appliance (with her, I believe) would be allowed to return to the fire ground.

We heard this on the GRN, and at a guess it was 3-4 hours that the appliance was off the fire ground (on Friday, mopping up I presume), judging by the time the order to leave the fire ground was given to when they reported back on duty.

Details are obviously scetchy as we were just listening to the GRN and not taking notes, but I'd love to know what practical & logical motivation was behind this.

I'm pretty sure you will find she had no medication with her so they pulled her off and organised some and then she was able to go back on to the fire ground for the rest of her deployment. it was more the safety reasons of what would happen if they didn't act when thye had the knowledge of her allergies.

Urrbrae was a great school was there from 2000 to 2005 sad that so many people bag it i bet that the majority have never been there and seen what the school has to offer. its alot better than most other govt high schools

not sure about mfs but cfs and ses have changed to either three years or 100,000kms to save the cost of fitting the vehicles out and stripping them. The new ses hiluxes are going on a five year lease plan.

i had an understanding from my school when i attended 2 years ago to come late if i went to a job in the morning but was never allowed to leave school for a job which was fair enough. when i completed my bff1 i was able to get this course credited towards my sace i got three sace points for this course which is the equivalent of three subjects. i recommend any students that are still at school to try and obtain rpl for bff1 talk to your year level co-ordinater or the person in charge of VET training

the courses run at meadows were a basic familiarisation with fire appliances and had a few units from bff1 and suppress wildfire. the idea was that when ses are providing logistical support they would havemore of and idea about fire fighting and where not to be IE deadman zone,etc i think it is a great idea if the ses are willing to help go for it.

at least most of you have PBI gold many of us don't have the gear i was recently at a CFB course to find out that thirteen of the twenty trainees have even been issued PBI an i have had BA for 18 months now. whats the point in training Ba opperators if there is not the correct PPE for them to wear. :? :?
