SA Firefighter

Is anyone from the SES able to tell me how a unit like Northern Districts, when they got busy yesterday seem to just let the calls back up and get to them when they can? Wouldnt it be more appropriate to pass them off to say the MFS or CFS or other SES units (if not busy themselves) to be done. How long would it have been before some of those jobs got done? Just curious if someone could enlighten me.

Was on a plane coming back from Melbourne earlier and saw what appeared to be 3? fires sort of east of Tintanara?Coonalpyn area. Anyone able to shed some light?

Does anyone know if any progress has been made on flash hoods being approved for use by the CFS? Went to a job the other week (structure related) and was asked by the MFS station officer "do your guys have flash hoods?"
Sorry if this topic is elswhere on this site but i couldnt seem to find it.

Upon browsing the new Volunteer mag i came across and article where it states the CFS is currently negotiating a "service level agreement" with the MFS. Does anyone have any info on this and how will it affect CFS brigades if at all? ie will they be responding less or more into CFS areas.

Does anyone know of what role these people play in the CFS? Or what "MART" stands for?  Saw a test page go out to about 10 people asking to confirm receipt of page. I assume it is some type of hazmat role.
