Title: Harassment and discrimination
Post by: CFS_Firey on August 04, 2008, 11:41:46 PM
I was trying to find the CFS policy on harassment and discrimination, but can't seem to locate it.  Does anyone know where I can find it?  (Act and Reg's perhaps?  or brigade constitution?).  I recall seeing something once that outlined what was unacceptable, and what the correct "chain of command" procedure was in dealing with problems...

I'm just trying to find a way to deny you access to my brigade without breaking any discrimination rules...;)

I cant find a weblink.

My wife is an SA Emergency Services HCO and in the past few years the training has been provided by SAFECOM via the Volunteer Management Branch to the volunteer Harassement Contact Officers (HCO). Thus they are not necessarily CFS, SES, MFS or VMB related now...but whole of sector.

The brochures are home & I can scan some for you tomorrow.

Otherwise the best bet would be to contact your local Volunteer Support Officer.

Thanks bajdas. I'm pretty sure we have those brochures lying around the station somewhere, but I thought there was an official document somewhere...

There is an easier way to keep the "unwanted" out - it has two barrels & makes a very load noise when it goes off. Woops sorry that wouldn't be politically correct would it?
Andrew is right there is a joint pamphlet (SES/CFS)on harrassement, it goes to show how many brigades/ units are doing induction correctly - its actually part of the training! And each member is supposed to get a copy on joining.
but as Numbers said - soft cocks you should be allowed to yell, swear & carry on like a Neanderthal thats what being professional is all about
have a great day
cheers

Isn't it in the Volunteer Administration Manual ?
Also the CFS Policy & Admin CD 2007.
