Just wondering,
Have they ever attempted to develop roof space sensors to detect a roof fire? as there have been recent examples that have caused considerable damage. I'm assuming by the time the owners know there is a fire in the roof space it has allready well involved?
Cheers
Lots of buildings have detectors in the roof. You will find lots in schools, hospitals, Uni's and lots in government buildings.
Not particularly common in domestic premises though.
Commercial fire detection systems often have heat detectors in the ceiling space, but as Alex said, they're not common in domestic set ups.
