Title: Recommended route around roadworks
Post by: bajdas on August 21, 2006, 10:28:22 AM
In the Adelaide metropolitan area some major long-term roadworks are starting. For example, Blakewell Bridge is affecting the major CBD bypass.

Currently does someone in SAFECOM issue a recommendation on routes for emergency service vehicles to bypass major roadworks ?

When the South Road and Anzac Highway work starts, this will be a major delay for emergency service vehicles.

Is anything in place for country areas ?

Or is it up to every brigade/unit/station to figure out routes in their local area from the 'current roadworks section' of The Advertiser ?

with the CFS, just a notification normally does the job. Then from there brigade members local knowledge is usually enough.
