the question is will CFS even care about or do anything with these stats?? might mean they have to do some real fleet, equipment and training managment.

I would be pretty disappointed with CFS fleet managment if they are already replacing 34P's and heres our 24P flogged to high hell and we were told not a hope of it getting replaced!! i guess they think its better money spent having a 34P rolling to 10 jobs a year rather than 100 plus  :|

our 24P is falling to bits and is starting to look like a lego buildup with the extra stowage space we have needed to carry a decent rcr kit on it,,, really needs a good refurb but apparently group has to fit the first 10k of the bill or region wont do it!

hmmmm maybe we should invite him down to look at our very tired and overloaded 24P, might manage to get on the list to have it replaced but i doubt it

obviously age isnt much of a barrier when they look for recruits, have heard someone made the pat 2 at age 50?

i did a observer shift with goolwa last year and OS9 was called with to a MVA in Strathm Goolwa was closest crew so he was paged to attend to get someone on scene faster than the 15 or so mins it would have taken us to get there

fleet 510 wasnt 510 back then its only been replaced in the last few months,, he arrived on scene further into the job was in an unmarked territory with only dash red and blues.
And yeah he covers a very large area but unsure where exactly hm2 is based from but once again more of a admin role than hands on normally i think

if its the person i think it is he lives in victor, and often see his vehicle around the place so wouldnt be so uncommon to see HM2 at jobs down this way, we had that car respond to a car under truck with us last year.

but there is no sprint vehicle sitting in the bay at victor, it may just be a spare ambulance sitting at the station or something similar.

a cert II and cert IV can crew together and be classed as full crew,, the V40 callsign is often used for the 4x4 landcruiser ambulance based in victor and a spare team member or TL that crews it for a job

yeah have to wonder what state the BA system within the CFS is like when a brigade captain is told by supposed people in the know (dont know who they are) that a backup crew isnt required when going into a building that theres nothing wrong with a team going in alone without backup there or on the way  :|

195
Maybe and MFS member came across it and thought to ring one of the members who live almost on top of the station? and as for ses, the mfs have a thing going with them that they call them to rcr's, probably find the SO rang the ses duty officer.... but yeah why the request cant go through adelaide fire i dont know.

Dedicated rescue to Yankalilla i reckon, they were talking about getting a replacement for theirs, mind you dont know why they would deserve one over anyone else??

and wow 3 34P's wont hold our breath down here for our 24P to be replaced, those 34P's will probably go to 20 call a year brigades with no rcr or hazmat..

198
lol yeah was more laughing at the only ses can cover ses area

1908073 17:58:28 11-04-11 STRATH AND YANK OFFLINE TOMORROW FOR RCR SOUTH COAST UNIT IS COVERING ALL MEMBERS PLS ATTEND IF RCR OCCURS

Hmm so i'm guessing that there arent any closer RCR resources to cover Strath tomorrow, i can think of at least 4, make that 5 if you dont count one thats  not in the directory. And South Coast can barely crew now...
Way to go SES you really know how to instill confidence in you :|
