What is the outlook for Stirling anyway?

The tanker is 20? the 12 is 20ish? the 24 is 15ish?

What will happen when these trucks dissappear? will they be replaced or will they get merged into one appliance?

Stirling Pumper, Stirling 34P, Stirling 34 & Tanker?

or

Pumper & 34P?

Pumper will become a rescue, 34p will become Hazmat and replace 12 and 24 will stay for 5 years and the tanker may or may not be replaced. I think. Whey will loose the 12 and rescue.

To the mechanic for clutch / gear box repairs.

They will loose the 12 and rescue.
No, the 12 will be replaced with a 34P Hazmat. They will only lose the rescue.

To the boys at stirling, make nsure you prime the pump as soon as possible after starting, preferably before... it has an intermitent propblem where it gets an air lock in the pump... im nots sure if it still has the note up on the crew deck saying that... any other questions just ask!!

ps. Road crash, i thinbk you have the wrong thread.

It still says Seaford.  This is not a permanent replacement, just temporary while other trucks are offline. :)

sorry pip

i dont think the problem with the priming would have been fixed, as it took over 6 weeks to get it fixed in the first instance, and it still had probs. if anyone can get pics of it lined up with all of stirlings other appliances it would be cool,

it is a good truck, it was just a bit slow... and the lack of dual cab annoyed people (the dennis is better )

Since when has any fleet decisions in the CFS made sense?

A lot of decisions have ranged from the bizarre to the preposterous.

True, but a lot of fleet options are quite limited by the budget we're given, though some don't make sense, best we can do is our job with what we have...
