Thats why there shouldn't be 3 services in 1 small town !!!!!!! If there was only 1 you probably could have taken a pump and a pump rescue !!!

But noooooooooo, we all like to have our own little empires, useless.

maybe there may be a cause for SES and CFS to work with each other closely...if the CFS brigade doesnt have enough drivers, maybe the SES brigade could provide them.

but then again...the mets retained got called which woulda meant a much higher chance of a fire cover appliance arriving on scene.

And here, again, is the problem of people calling in about incident, who have no real idea of where they are....with the current data at Adelaide Fire, I suspect it wouldn't help that much - if the caller identified the location as Kapunda (even if it wasn't) then that is the data the Comms Operators would work with, and send the resources for the location given.

SACAD is supposed to address some of these types of issues...but that is still some time away......( and an awful lot of data to be collected)

I have to agree.. If the 'willing' weren't split across 3 services, their would be a much greater chance of getting appliances out the door. Uniformed services or at least, joint services in such areas would make a huge difference!

Happy Valley Pumper gave a stop to 439.

after they arrived and confirmed no persons trapped..

my point was that the same situation arose, and yet when its an MFS rescue area they do send an MFS pump..... nm

ok ses took on RCR when the MFS didnt want it the CFS didnt want it nobody wanted to be RCR.

SES do drive for CFS however when MFS page the wrong fire cover then dont page CFS of almost 10mins htere is nobody at the SES station that can drive.

also that is not nuriootpas area it never has been it has always been Kapundas area kapunda SES are responsible for belivedere rd and most of the truro kapunda road we can also supply a faster response time as every member of our unit is RCR and first truck is out the door in 5 mins day and night second is out the door in 8mins

my point is kapunda 641 should not be responding to stuff out side there area unless it defults from cfs to mfs plus they should stay in there area when countless times they cant get a crew and TANUNDA 631 with kapunda cfs respond in to the twonship of kapunda this happens alot

for thoses who feel that there are too many services in kapunda i agree when you have three volly oranisation and a retained it gets hard there is no need for MFS to be in kapunda they get very few jobs most of them alarms at the hospital.

if the MFS were not here then mabye the CFS would have more crew and more drivers. the CFS and SES drive for eachother at times if SES dont have a driver then the CFS will drive for us if CFS dont have one we drive for them but this only works when the pagers drop at the same time.

oh and just for your info kapunda SES do more the 120 jobs a year which is the CFS and MFS from here put together and most of that is RCR related

still four services is too many why not get rid of one? do we need three fire trucks sitting in the town doing very little we cant move saas out of town as then there would be a min of 20 minutes response from the barossa to here the SES are quite busy with jobs that match some of the busy CFS brigades so who should we move or combind

Why not get rid of all of them bar SAMFS and SAAS?

Why should the public pay increased taxes or emergency services levy when a volunteer can do the job ??

Sorry, go for the cheap, cut price option that may not get to the job, as evidenced by what occurred in the pages in this thread. Good work :)

SAMFS does what SES + CFS does, SAAS does the medical side of things...?

thats bull s@#t with tanunda 631 they did once and got in  s#!t coz of it when they got a call to the saas stn in anguston for fire call they got court out coz one of the blokes that was working there was a member of tanunda cfs and mfs had to call comms and get anguston called out for it . plus y would you call tanunda  mfs when 5 cfs unites are in range of kapunda plus you mite check ses response zone as well coz anguston is not in your respones zone like last month three trees down with in a week around anguston  cfs was not even called for those call outs

perhaps the govt should see that they're wasting a bit of money in some of these retained MFS stations. They over resource some towns. some just almost never are responded. cases in point are kapunda, peterborough, kadina and moonta. these are all towns where a CFS station can do/does deliver a satisfactory service.

This is great, you've got people on here blowing up about local occurences, without sharing the entire story, coupled with the fact they can't string two words together...

Don't worry boys, volunteer emergency services are in good hands in SA!

Grasshopper - some advice.  Don't go casting aspersions on the capabilities of your fellow Emergency Services that you work closely with on a public forum.  It will come back and bite you in the arse.

Kapunda is not big enough to avoid the ruckus you are causing...

If you ever stuff up, be prepared to be treated equally if not worse than the way you are treating your coworkers.

The way you have been carrying on like a pork chop has certainly lowered my perception of Kapunda SES as a professional organisation...

Im not saying Kapunda SES is the Best i have no idea how you got that perception.

Yes we have been to Angaston (helps if you spell it right)angaston is in our response for storm damage i belive that a tree down on a roof on a stormy night is "storm damage". we have been stop called my angaston cfs once and once they were not responded however them not being responded is a mistake made by paid staff in ADELAIDE FIRE no by kapunda ses.

Tanunda 631 was dispatched to kapunda high school after the kapunda cfs had attended i do not know why 631 was responded possibly another mistake by ADELIADE FIRE when there is (greenock, tarlee, truro, nuriootpa, eudunda) all closer then tanunda, tanunda 631 would have to drive past at least one CFS station no matter what way they go.

also why get rid of the volunteers when paid staff dont want the responsibility that the vollys have????????????????????????????????????????

The way that you continually rubbish your neighbouring emergency services gives the impresion that you consider yourselves to be far superior to them.

You give the impression that you prefer to bitch about them in public, rather than assist to resolve the issues.

To me, this is highly unprofessional behaviour...

Sesroadcrashrescue hope you don't share a station with the CFS, cause you will be one unpopular bloke next time your there. Ive said this message to you before on another post, start doing some serious training with the local services, get to know them, build a good working relationship with them and work well together, instead of bagging them because someone did or didn't get responded.

Answer to all this is simple pager goes off you respond to your station and attend the incident do what you are trained to do and if any other services arrive work together.

If you have an issue in relation to responses fill out a CRD issues form and send it up the chain
