i was down at the airport the other night, and the Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting appliance was flashing lights out the front of the pick up area.
anyway i was standing back looking at the appliance, and its like heaps odd. do they have a pump on the appliance?
does anyone know much about them? i suppose they would have more crash aircraft rescue stuff right??

just curious! if anyone knows anything about it.

They do have a pump, water (around 9000 Litres) & heaps of foam (1400 L) and 250Kg of dry chem....

The pump is a 6000 L/min Rosenbauer.

The Vehicle can do 0-80 km/hr in under 30 seconds.

Each appliance carries 3 BA sets, at least one carries the Power Hawk rescue Equipment, Oxygen / defib stuff etc...

The appliances respond to aircraft emergencies (obviously!) but also to alarms within the Airport, road crashes, bin fires etc occurring on the airport grounds.

They will also respond to calls outside the airport, upon request from MFS

This info is just in the process of being added to the CFS Promo site....

Go to "Find a station", and plug in "Adelaide Airport"
