No-one stupid or drunk driving....everyone safe & well so NO callouts or incidents...that mechanical systems (eg waterpipes & fire alarms) do not give false alarms....all on-call & on-duty staff can relax and sleep.

Any callout or incident means someone is hurt, injured or upset...lets wish for peace & quiet..

Enough turn-outs to keep the troops interested, motivated & on-the-ball, but without actually doing any damage to anyone or anything.

Every year.

I would like for communications to & from HQ all the way down to brigades to be watertight & comprehensive - everything we need to know about being communicated fully, frankly, & timely.

And vice versa.

I would like an immediate trebling of CFS budget so that all the training & equipment & comms & process backlogs can be instantly & meticulously fixed to the satisfaction of all volunteers & staff.

I would like enough beer so I can at least fool myself into thinking any of the above will happen in my lifetime...

Well I would like for xmas to wish you all a very merry xmas and for those that answer the call of the pager or siren you are not alone, this time of the year is always a busy time for any emergency service. I dont want much for xmas other than to see the faces of my children when the open their gifts on xmas day then the wife tells me how much its all cost me this year.....

I would like to see the fire service get back to what it is here to do serve the public but at the same time provide better comms and appliances for its volunteers to carry out the duty's of a fire service.....

Firstly I wish everyone on the forum a Merry Xmas and a Happy and Safe New Year :-D

Now on my wish list 6 winning numbers in the Dec 29th X Lotto for $30 Million

From a CFS point of view as follows:

Increase in CFS Budget
More courses in 2008
Less courses cancelled at last minute
A return of volunteer instructors as well as paid
Better communications between the services
DEH vehicles to have identical talkgroups to ours
RCR for all EMA brigades
