It is with sadness I advise the death of a friend, and fellow firefighter Jamie Ronald Larcombe.

Jamie was a CFS member from Parndana brigade and is survived by his parents, sisters and girlfriend.

It was not the news we wanted to be told at 5:30 in the morning, and our thoughts are with his family.

Jamie was killed in the line of duty serving the Australian Army in Afghanistan.

RIP mate :(

Very sad that such a young, and obviously a community minded man has died in the line of duty.

RIP mate.

In a very moving ceremony held on Flagstaff Hill, at Kingscote we farewelled our friend and firefighter Sapper Jamie Larcombe. :-(

On behalf of myself and the family, I pass on my thanks to CO Greg Nettleton, Region 1 Commander Chris Martin, and CFSVA President Ken Schutz, and MFS Commander Haydon Castle for their attendance yesterday to pay their respects.

To the Parndana brigade we will remember him.

RIP mate.
