1909144 12:19:47 28-09-06 RE TONIGHTS BURN OFF BE AT STATION 630PM LIGHTING UP APPROXIMATELY 645PM FROM THE CAPTAIN

They're lighting up the station 15 minutes after everyone gets there?! That's pretty harsh punishment...

Once again an Ambulance was called to my parents house because of my dads hip popping out, plus i had to even help the Ambos out with treatment & moving him out of the house on a spinal board to the actual stretcher outside :-(

I know it sounds out of the ordinary for a CFS volunteer to aid SAAS ICU crews with treatment and transporting of a relative but i've done it a couple times before

Heres the pager messages relating to the incident

Nah Toast he has an artificial hip which often pops out when you least expect it to and causes him alot of pain of course I didnt know it was a hip dislocation until mum & I layed him on the ground and seen that one leg was shorter than the other

The Ambulance dispatcher said that thanks to my first aid training & knowledge my dads hip dislocation was isolated and prevented from getting worse  :-)

A good working relationship with the ambo's especially the locals is good we had job yesterday to assist with a retrieval for a snake bite victim and because all the ambulances were tied up at other jobs Rescue 51 was the primary response ambulance so we ended up ferrying the retrieval team between the medical centre and oval, bit of a first for us normally we just go down the oval and just watch the helicopter land and help with loading when they come with the patient. But because we work with SAAS a fair bit they can rely on us to know where spinal board, oxygen etc etc is and be able to get the stretcher out and set it up for them.
