What you will find Robert, is that call went to the Police comcen, and passed onto Adelaide fire...SES would then be able to ring the Sapol assistance line and quote that number to get the most accuarate job details.

Or a patrol called it in.

Sounds like the cow is not actually stuck in the dam....but sitting in the cool!!  Crews got out to it, and she stood up, and refused to get out..walked further into the dam, and sat down again!

Wow, that comcen operator needs to be renamed "Wingman".
That is being a wingman at its best, like going out with your mates at night and getting caught by someone you dont want to be talking to and giving your mates a secret signal to get you the hell out of there...

wouldn't one think that it's better coming out the chimney than a window?

sorry.....thought that the logical explanation for smoke coming out of a chimney is that a fire was in the fireplace, as opposed to the rest of the house?

more to the point - why is this an issue for a fire service?  whatever happened to neighbours wandering over to check??

oh that's right...it's post 1990!

I would have thought that smoke coming out of a chimney at a school when there is supposed to be no one there would be a cfs issue and a priority. Then again everyone could forget about it and wait until the school catches on fire or whoever is there vandalises the school and it becomes a police issue instead
