Mt Barker Xmas Pagent

Didnt see any fire appliances in the Mt Barker pagent. Must have all been too busy? Oh except for this one.

I heard around the traps that the local pageant committee didn't invite the local CFS brigades to the pageant as it was long enough with paying entries.

Same happened last year...

Good to see the pageant committee embracing community spirit.

I have it on good authority that the CFS group was sent an invitation and Littlehampton was actually on the list to attend.

The SA SES Volunteers Association, Public Relations van was at the parade as part of an effort to promote the Adelaide Hills SES Unit. I believe a SES light rescue vehicle also participated.

Further promotion and recruitment of volunteers is being planned for that area in early 2007.
